Syracuse, UT-based Onions 52 has reached an agreement with Deming, NM and Hatch, NM-based growers, Cody Shiflett Produce and Hatch Valley Produce, to market its full line of onions for the 2022 summer season.

The new partnerships will allow for increased supply during the summer months to service the needs of customers across the country by offering a variety of consumer and bulk packs in all colors.

Shawn Hartley (above) says Onions 52’s New Mexico partnerships are a powerhouse of onion growers and it’s excited to have them on board to strengthen its year-round onion program.

Along with Cody Shiflett Produce and Hatch Valley Produce, Onions 52 continues to market for Carzalia Valley Produce, who in addition to its previous offerings, have added organic yellow onions this year.
“Our New Mexico partnerships are a powerhouse of onion growers and we are excited to have them on board to strengthen our year-round onion program,” said Shawn Hartley, vice-president of sales and partner at Onions 52, Inc.

“We are excited about the opportunity with Onions 52 and look forward to the partnership for many years,” said Cody Shiflett, president of Cody Shiflett Produce.

“The diversity of business Onions 52 brings to the table along with its years of experience will help us grow as a company,” said Bill Porter, president of Hatch Valley Produce.

The trio of onion growers, Cody Shiflett Produce, Hatch Valley Produce and Carzalia Valley Produce, plan to begin harvesting onions in May and will operate until mid-August.
