The Rosselkhoznadzor Department controlled the import of a batch of carrot seeds from Japan.
According to “Vesti: Primorye” with reference to the Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Primorsky Territory and the Sakhalin Region, a batch of carrot seeds from Japan weighing 390 kilograms has arrived in the Primorsky Territory.
At the same time, the country of origin of the seeds is Chile, where the production site of a well-known Japanese seed manufacturer is located. Carrots of various varieties are intended for agricultural enterprises in the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, Rostov, Astrakhan and Volgograd Regions.
The Ussuri branch of the Primorsky interregional veterinary laboratory of the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Primorsky branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “VNIIKR” conducted research on samples taken from an imported batch of carrot seeds. Seeds are recognized as meeting the requirements of regulatory standards of the Russian Federation.
Quarantine products are approved by inspectors of the Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor for Primorsky Krai and Sakhalin Region for import after quarantine phytosanitary control.
