This is 3.5 thousand more than last year.
At the beginning of this week, the harvest of vegetables in Lipetsk greenhouses with a year-round growing cycle amounted to 86.7 thousand tons. In 2021, on the same date, 85.2 thousand tons were received.
As already noted, the main increase in greenhouse vegetables is provided by increasing the collection of tomatoes. Since the beginning of the year, 44 thousand tons have been grown. Also received 42.2 thousand tons of cucumbers, 500 tons of lettuce (2.5 million pieces). The Lipetsk region continues to be one of the leading regions in the production of vegetables in winter greenhouses.
Much attention is paid to the development of greenhouse vegetable growing in the country. Preferential investment loans and “stimulating” subsidies are provided for industry enterprises. “In the current year, the Lipetsk region has allocated about 90 million rubles for the sale of greenhouse vegetables of its own production, grown using additional lighting technology,” said Oleg Dolgikh, head of the regional department of agriculture. “Our greenhouse complexes have already received half of these funds.”
In open ground this year, the area under vegetables increased by 10%. In agricultural enterprises and K (F) X, vegetable crops are located on 656 hectares.
