For more than 20 years, it has been supplying its vegetables and berries to the market. First, the Suleymanov family created a greenhouse for planting cucumbers. The head of the family is an agronomist by the first education, a biology teacher by the second. So we decided to start gardening.
Now, 22 years later, 1400 tomato roots and 450 cucumbers are placed on 670 square meters. The first harvest of green pimply is removed in April, and tomatoes – in May. But this is preceded by painstaking work, starting with sowing seedlings in mid-December.
“We test two or three varieties every year, we cannot do without it. We leave the better ones, we remove the others,” notes Rafis Suleymanov.
The salad set goes on sale in Matveevsky, Abdulinsky and Ponomarevsky districts. There are regular customers, points of sale. Blackberry production is also successfully developing. The greenhouse industry has already mastered 10 varieties of this miracle berry. Temperature control, drip irrigation, even a pollination system – everything is provided here for a good harvest.
The head of the Matveevsky district, Sergei Nemkov, notes that, looking at the example of the Suleymanovs, others can develop their business.
“Heat and electricity are obtained from associated gas, and the cost is reduced. We have everything here, including an agreement with the oilmen, but so far there is no willing investor,” he says.
Methodological assistance from experienced vegetable growers is also being developed. Including using modern technologies.
