The five best municipalities of the Moscow region for growing vegetables have been named.
Serpukhov is recognized as the leader with a gross harvest of 16.1 thousand tons. Also, the list of the best included Kolomna (Lakes), Stupino, Lukhovitsy and Dmitrov.
In total, this year, 8.2 thousand hectares are occupied in the region for planting open ground vegetables. It is planned to harvest about 336 thousand tons with an average yield of 410 centners per hectare. This is 10 percent more than last year.
