Support measures for agricultural producers in the region are expanding. The governor spoke about this live for subscribers and users of social networks.
Support measures for agricultural producers are expanding in the Khabarovsk Territory. The governor of the region, Mikhail Degtyarev, spoke about this during a live broadcast on social networks, answering a question about the development of greenhouse vegetable growing. At the moment, the regional government is systematically addressing issues in this area, developing new support measures, and interacting with the federal center.
For example, within the framework of the Agrostartup grant support, as well as for the development of family farms in 2020-2022, projects for the development of greenhouse vegetable growing were supported by 10 peasant farms. The amount of allocated funds amounted to 39.7 million rubles. Thanks to this, 43 greenhouses have been installed in the region for growing tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplants, and by the end of 2023, the volume of greenhouse vegetable production in farms will be at least 191.4 tons. As of June 1, the gross harvest of vegetables in greenhouses amounted to 1,312.7 tons, or 90% of the same date in 2021 (1,458.5 tons).
- In order for our residents to see more vegetables and agricultural products, we will invest more in agriculture. First of all, we will support those who succeed in doing business in this direction. There are successful practices not only from foreign companies, but also from our local entrepreneurs, who are practically restoring greenhouse facilities from ruins. We will support our farmers through the distribution of small grants. I gave all the necessary instructions to the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Finance. Starting next year, we will at least double, or even triple, increase the amount of funds allocated to support agricultural producers, – Mikhail Degtyarev said during a live broadcast.
He added that in order to prevent flooding of farmers’ farmlands and protect villagers’ summer cottages, the regional government pays great attention to the construction of dams in rural areas. There is also interaction with the federal center to support the region’s agriculture. As part of his trip to the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Mikhail Degtyarev met with the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, at which he discussed a number of issues to support residents of rural areas of the Khabarovsk Territory.
It is worth noting that for the development of greenhouse vegetable growing in the second half of the year, it is planned to introduce a new direction of state support – subsidies to reimburse part of the costs of producing greenhouse vegetables using additional lighting technology.
Recall that Mikhail Degtyarev held this year the third live broadcast for subscribers and users of social networks. This is a traditional format of communication with citizens, which allows the governor to learn about problems in all spheres of life in the region. During the online broadcast from several sites, about 270 questions were asked. More than 8 thousand online users became participants in the live broadcast.
