The harvest of fruits and berries of 295 tons in the Leningrad region is planned to be harvested by local agricultural producers, Nevskiye Novosti reported on July 2.
15 farms are engaged in growing perennial plantings in the region, they produce 56% of all perennial plantings in the North-West of the country.

“Thanks to the implementation of several large investment projects, now we have 56% of all perennial plantations in the North-West and 2.6% of Russia in our region. This year we also expect a good harvest of honeysuckle, gooseberries, cherries, plums, pears, apples,” said Oleg Malashchenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Leningrad Region.
For comparison, in 2021, agricultural organizations of the region collected 245 tons of products, including 65 tons of strawberries.
