Vegetable growers of the Sredneakhtubinsky district rely on onions. According to farmers, this crop is both in demand and gives a decent harvest. Especially some early varieties.

Many factors influence the final cost of a product: seeds, fertilizers, irrigation system, fuel and salaries. The units are not permanent. For example, last year the price of cabbage was around 17-18 rubles per kilogram, and this season, according to farmers, the cost will be only 7 rubles. There are implementation issues.
The head of the agricultural enterprise, Sergei Grigoriev, sees the reason in the fact that farmers do not agree among themselves on how many and what vegetables they will grow this season. In pursuit of earnings, many begin to grow the same thing, creating an inflated supply. According to the head of the farm, prices can be stabilized by the Soviet experience of a planned economy, when each collective farm knew the volume of crops that needed to be grown. This avoided overproduction.
In our country, all farmers do not interact well with each other and plant all crops, who like hunting. Last year, the price was for cabbage, this year many rushed to plant it, adding in volume. We always plant evenly, but many farmers indulge in the fact that they want to catch this wave, – the head of the agricultural enterprise Sergey Grigoriev.
And yet, the farm expects to make a profit this season: the harvest promises to be good. And this means that the Volgograd Region will not lose the status of an all-Russian vegetable garden this year either.
