Zucchini, eggplants and peppers are harvested on the farms of the Raznochinovsky and Akhmatovsky village councils.
The main harvest will not begin until August, now the fruits are harvested as they ripen. Harvesting zucchini, peppers and eggplant is carried out manually. This year, agricultural producers preferred Belozerka and Elephant Ear varieties of pepper, Almaz and Samurai Sword eggplants, and Aral zucchini. Both adults and children work in the fields, besides, in some farms of the region, foreign citizens are engaged in harvesting, who have favorable conditions for work and living. The products collected in the fields are sent to the Astrakhan cannery.
In total, the district’s farms have produced and sold more than 3,600 tons of vegetables and melons. The harvest continues.
