Russia will soon begin to supply vegetables to Europe, because European products are not competitive there. This was told by the head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergei Dankvert.
“The changes are such that we will soon supply vegetables to Europe from our greenhouses. Because the policy that is currently being pursued in Europe will lead to the fact that greenhouses there will become unprofitable, ”Dankvert said in an interview with RBC.
According to him, local European products are not competitive, even based on gas prices. He noted that vegetable growing is intensively developing in the Russian Federation. Dankvert said that Russia supplied vegetables to Europe before transport restrictions. “By the way, as long as there were no transport restrictions, we already supplied cucumbers to Europe, it’s just that no one knows about it,” he said. So the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor answered the question of whether Russian suppliers will be allowed to enter the European markets.
