Nikolai Galkin, a resident of the village of Bely Poshekhonsky District, grew 25 watermelons on his plot, weighing an average of 3.5-4 kilograms. Having developed his own agricultural technology, the amateur melon grower adapted to growing this crop in the local climate.
At the end of April, Nikolai Galkin sowed the seeds, and planted the seedlings in the greenhouse in June. Early varieties of this crop adapt better to the climate of the middle zone. The main condition for growing is to stop watering when the berry stops growing.
In the future, the Poshekhonsky melon grower will grow melons on his own plot.
