Agricultural workers of the republic are busy harvesting a new crop of vegetable crops, for which over 38.4 thousand hectares of land were used in 2022.
The harvesting campaign is in full swing in Tajikistan.
To date, about 1 million tons of vegetables have already been harvested.
Such data are provided by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the country.
As noted, over 38.4 thousand hectares of land were used for vegetables this year, including 410 hectares in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), 9 thousand in Sughd, 20.6 thousand in Khatlon and 8 thousand .ha in areas of republican subordination.
Vegetables were harvested from 31.9 thousand hectares of land. In total, 983.6 thousand tons of vegetables were harvested, including:
onions – 428.9 thousand tons,
cabbage – 42.8 thousand tons,
tomatoes – 197.7 thousand tons,
cucumbers – 108 thousand tons,
carrots – 102.2 thousand tons,
other types of vegetables – 103.7 thousand tons.
At the same time, the volume of fruits harvested in the republic amounted to 139.7 thousand tons, and 32 thousand tons of grapes were harvested.

Earlier it was reported that the cost of onions began to fall in Tajikistan. Prices stabilized after the arrival of a new crop of vegetables on the domestic market.
