The company “Agronom-sad” has completed the harvest, which this year amounted to about 30 thousand tons. Despite difficult weather conditions and certain difficulties associated with the current situation in the world, the company managed to fulfill the plan. A good result was largely facilitated by the installed anti-hail nets, which protected the apples from the adverse effects of the external environment.
Agronom-Sad is the main producer of apples in Central Russia and, in addition to growing traditional and club varieties, relies on increasing organic production. Over the past two years, Agronom Sad has registered new varieties of organic apples – in 2020 it was the Imrus variety, and in 2021 the Liberty variety.
Also this year, the company planted more than 100 hectares of new intensive gardens, thereby doubling the area of the organic garden.
“Demand for Russian apple has increased significantly this year. Despite difficult weather conditions, we are coping with the increased demand and hope to increase our figures even further next year. Invariably, it is very important for us to continue to produce the highest quality apple with impeccable taste,” said Alexey Volochay, director of the Agronom-Sad company.
