The Pridnestrovian Order of the Red Banner of Labor and Labor Glory Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture has developed a new hybrid of cucumbers with a yield of 21.2 tons per hectare, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Pridnestrovie reports on June 28.
“Cucumber hybrids with a yield of 21.2 t/ha after three harvests have been demonstrated. Of these, the yield: bee-pollinated hybrids amounted to 7.2 t/ha, parthenocarpic hybrids — 21.2 t/ha,” the press release says.
Work continues on the hybrid F1 cucumber “Cucumber Garland”, which showed positive results, despite adverse weather conditions during the growing season of the plant.
Recall that the Pridnestrovian Order of the Red Banner of Labor and Labor Glory Research Institute of Agriculture dates back to 1930. The Institute breeds cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet peppers, eggplants, corn, gourds.
