ABOUT 80 THOUSAND TOMATOES TO HAVE IN NOVEMBER IN THE ASTRAKHAN REGION

According to the regional press service, in November of this year, one of the greenhouse complexes will harvest the first crop of tomatoes. Thanks to the method of growing nightshade on artificial media without soil, there will be a high yield – up to 80 kg per square meter.

The area of the complex is 45.9 hectares, of which 10.05 are occupied by two greenhouses. It turns out that in November the company will collect about 80 thousand tomatoes.

According to Ruslan Abdukarimov, General Director of the company, the completion of the construction of the complex is scheduled for the end of June. According to his calculations, the average annual volume of tomato cultivation will be 7.5 thousand tons.

“Now the readiness of the ultra-modern greenhouse complex of the fifth generation is 85%,” said Minister of Agriculture and Fishing Industry Ruslan Pashayev. – A boiler house, an electrical substation, a water treatment building have been fully built, lighting has been installed in greenhouses.”

The greenhouse complex is located in the Ikryaninsky district. Last year it was given the status of a particularly important investment project in the region. Thanks to this, investors are compensated for the costs of engineering and repay part of the interest rate on the loan.
