On September 5, the acting head of Mari El discussed promising areas of development of the republic with the authors of the best ideas and proposals. The meeting touched upon the sphere of agriculture. This is reported in the press service of the head of the region.
The agro-industrial complex makes a huge contribution to Russia’s food security. Products from Mari El are known throughout the country, but rather narrowly. In this regard, Yuri Zaitsev needs to expand its distribution throughout the country.
“The initiatives involve the maximum use of all instruments of state support. We need to strive to increase salaries in the industry, develop seed production and breeding base, which coincides with the state policy on import substitution,” Yuri Zaitsev stressed.
The acting head of the republic also stressed that one of the strategic tasks is to reach such a level that during production there is no need for either foreign seeds or foreign young. Everything should be as domestic as possible.
