Innovative methods and dedication bear fruit as “Agrokomplex” reports a bountiful harvest, exceeding 38 thousand tons of fresh produce. From orchards to fields, a meticulous approach yields diverse yields, marking a milestone in agricultural achievement.
In 2023, “Agrokomplex” named after N.I. Tkachev reaped a harvest totaling 18 thousand tons of fruits and 20 thousand tons of vegetables. This included the inaugural fruiting of apple trees planted a decade ago. The harvested produce, ranging from apples to plums, cherries, peaches, and various vegetables, is marketed fresh or processed for preservation.
According to reports from “Agrokomplex” to sfera.fm, the total harvest for 2023 surpassed 38 thousand tons, comprising 16.7 thousand tons of winter and summer apples, along with plums and assorted fruits. The vegetable harvest included nearly 8 thousand tons of potatoes, 5 thousand tons of carrots, 3 thousand tons of beets, over 2 thousand tons of onions, and more. Notably, the enterprise also cultivated pumpkins, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchinis, bell peppers, and herbs.
The expansion of fruit orchards to 980 hectares, including the establishment of new super-intensive orchards, highlights “Agrokomplex’s” commitment to innovation. Young apple trees bore their first fruits in 2023, with full production anticipated in three years. The enterprise emphasizes the year-round availability of apples, facilitated by two fruit storage facilities with an 8 thousand ton capacity each.
“Agrokomplex” markets its fruit and vegetable products fresh or preserved under the brand “Agrokomplex Vyselkovsky,” distributing through its network and other channels. In 2023, the brand released 1.3 thousand tons of beverages, juices, and nectars, along with 914 tons of vegetable preserves, 286 tons of pickles, and 93 tons of fruit preserves.
According to the National Fruit and Vegetable Union of Russia, 2022 marked a peak in the industry, with a gross harvest of 1.718 million tons. Despite a slight decline in 2023 by 2%, reaching 1.682 million tons, it remains one of the highest yields in the industry’s history.
As consumer preferences shift, analysts noted a fourfold increase in apple popularity compared to pears in 2023, highlighting evolving market dynamics.
