The agricultural consumer marketing cooperative “Village” is recognized as one of the best vegetable growing enterprises in the country that use reclaimed land in production. At the Russian agro-industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn” in Moscow, the cooperative was awarded a silver medal.
The company was awarded such a high award for the ambitious project “Vegetable Valley”, implemented in Almetyevsk district since 2017. A modern irrigation system has been designed and built on the farm by the reclamation workers of Tatarstan, which allows timely and spot-watering of agricultural crops, fertilizers and agrochemicals are also introduced here in a timely manner. Drip irrigation and fertilization according to an individual schedule for each crop allow you to efficiently use water and mineral resources and get a guaranteed planned harvest.
According to the director of the FSBI “Tatmeliovodkhoz” Mars Hismatullin, within the framework of the targeted programs implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic, the Village cooperative has been reimbursed up to eighty percent of the costs for the construction of a reclamation system and the purchase of sprinkler equipment. The cooperative unites dozens of farmers from Tatarstan and a number of other regions of Russia. They rent plots of land in the “Vegetable Valley” with full infrastructure for drip irrigation and grow various crops on them. Farmers use highly productive seed material of the quality of “Elite”, “Super Elite” of Russian and Dutch production, and the use of modern reclamation systems provides integrated plant protection. The members of the cooperative can either immediately take out the finished products, or process them and leave them for storage for further sale. Next year, the Village plans to grow potatoes of high-yielding Russian and European varieties on irrigation. Work on the implementation of the project is carried out in close cooperation with the divisions of “Tatmeliovodkhoz” and the trust company “Tatmelioration”.
