The action “Vegetables to the entrance” has been working in the regional center for 10 years in a row. It was organized at one time in order to provide residents of the regional capital with high-quality and safe products at affordable prices directly from commodity producers.
- Since last year, we have slightly increased the number of intra-quarter sites for the sale of vegetables and fruits, there were just over 60 of them. Now in Stavropol there are 69 points for the daily sale of vegetables and fruits, 207 mobile shops are located on them. Within a short time they will all be fully operational. So far, 20 farms from all over Stavropol are participating in the action. This figure is growing because the season of the sites has just begun, and we expect a significant increase in the number of applicants. The sites are located near residential buildings to ensure that fresh, natural, local and inexpensive products are within walking distance of citizens. Buyers will be expected here until December inclusive, – said the head of Stavropol Ivan Ulyanchenko.
The main vegetable crops are always available on the shelves – onions, potatoes, carrots, beets, cabbage and other seasonal agricultural products. The municipality provides places for producers to trade free of charge, but with certain pricing conditions.
It is not difficult to find out the sales outlets of the stock. Signs are placed at the “Vegetables to the Entrance” tents, sellers’ cars are marked with bright advertising posters of a single sample.
