Prices for apricots have fallen sharply in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
Earlier, in social networks, residents of the Issyk-Kul region spoke about the cheapness of apricots, which is why gardeners suffer losses – their work is not justified.
Miselkhoz names several reasons for the sharp decline in prices compared to last year:
abundant harvest in the countries of Central Asia, as well as in the regions of Russia and Armenia;
high prices for sugar, as well as its shortage in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, because apricots are mainly used in conservation;
slow passage of goods across the border of Kazakhstan. Truck drivers with apricots are delayed at the Kazakh border for 1-2 days;
The Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that the Cabinet of Ministers is doing everything to speed up the passage of trucks. Also in Kyrgyzstan, sugar prices are lower than in neighboring countries.
Apricots in the Kyrgyz Republic are grown in the south and in the Issyk-Kul region.
