790 thousand tons of tubers have been accumulated. Last year there were 652 thousand. Today, the gross harvest is higher due to an increase in areas and an increase in yields. If in 2021 each hectare yielded 271 hundredweight of tubers per hectare, now it is 302. The highest yield in the Vitebsk region is 378 quintals per hectare. In Grodno – 322, Minsk – 318, Mogilev – 310, Brest – 298, Gomel – 210.
It should be noted that traditionally the lion’s share of potatoes is produced in private farms. In 2021, about 4 million tons of tubers were dug up there. This year there will be no less.
