Despite weather challenges impacting cultivation, Benny Herbots expressed optimism about the season’s quality, noting adjustments made to optimize plot selection for cherries. Kris Jans from BelOrta anticipated a harvest of approximately 3 million kilos from 160 growers, emphasizing robust quality despite weather-related setbacks. The use of protective covers safeguarded yields from adverse conditions like frost and excessive rain, ensuring ample supply despite initial delays.
