Now two-thirds of the fields at Novooskol Family Farms are planted with vegetables
“Novooskol family farms” in the Belgorod region appeared five years ago. The cooperative uses six buildings for the production of eggs, the production of melange has been launched. And the apple orchard occupies 11 hectares.
And from this year, a “borscht set” will be grown here, already two thirds of the prepared areas will be occupied by vegetables this year. Farmers have already planted 5,500 cabbage seedlings, more than 1,500 sweet pepper roots, onions and potatoes. Next year, beets and carrots will be added to them.
Special equipment helps in the work: a cutter for inter-row cultivation, a potato planter, a mounted sprayer and a hiller for potatoes, which facilitates and speeds up the process of loosening the earth, weeding, and also feeding plants.
