The annual “REPA-2024” Harvest Festival held in Konakovo recently attracted numerous guests and participants, making it a significant event for the local agricultural community. This festival has established itself as a tradition, offering a platform for farmers, agronomists, and families to showcase their agricultural produce and creativity while engaging in fun and educational activities.
A Day of Celebration and Competition
The festival featured a variety of activities, including the “Udača s Dachi” exhibition and sale, where local producers displayed their harvest and handmade products. Competitions like “Garden Champion,” “Summer in a Jar,” “Garden Family,” and “Autumn Bouquet” highlighted the talents of participants. Children participated in interactive activities at the “Young Agronomist” platform and enjoyed workshops such as “Easier than Boiled Turnip.”
The event was further enlivened by a vibrant concert featuring the brass band “Vremya,” directed by Igor Tryndin-Moiseev, alongside performances from various dance and vocal groups. Hosted by well-known local personalities, the program combined cultural entertainment with agricultural celebration.
Engaging the Community
In addition to the competitions, local artisans participated in the exhibition, showcasing a wide range of products from candy to handmade jewelry and souvenir soaps. Notable contributors included Natalia Levanova (candies), Tatiana Sleptsova (soft toys), and Dmitry Budanov from “RedGarden,” who brought organic produce to the market. Local children also participated in a face-painting workshop, while food stalls offered delicious treats to festival-goers.
An esteemed jury, led by Marina Mamatkazin, the head of the Culture Department of the Konakovo Municipal District Administration, evaluated the participants. A total of 35 contestants took part, with notable winners in each category. In the “Garden Champion” category, Maria Ilyina secured first place, followed by Nadezhda Kavun and Tatyana Yezhova. The “Garden Family” category saw Svetlana Kirillina and Galina Kiseleva taking the top spot, while Inna Komarova won first place in the “Autumn Bouquet” category.
