Crimean farmers have already harvested raspberries from an area of more than 25 hectares. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Migal. About 22 tons of berries have already been harvested, which is 20 tons more than in the same period last year.
“The time has come to harvest sweet and fragrant raspberries. As a rule, the berry is harvested very carefully by hand or mechanized. This year, raspberries began to be harvested a little over a week ago. Farmers grow such varieties as Novosti Kuzmina, Indian Leto and Rubin. In Crimea, 16 enterprises in Sovetsky, Simferopol, Nizhnegorsky, Krasnoperekopsky, Dzhankoysky, Belogorsky and Bakhchisaray regions are engaged in the production of raspberries,” said the head of the Crimean Ministry of Agriculture.
Yuri Migal also added that this year the Crimean farmers will have to harvest raspberries from 40.58 hectares.
For the laying of berry crops such as raspberries, blackberries and blueberries, agricultural producers of the Crimea are annually provided with state support. The subsidy rate for the establishment of berry plantations is from 220 thousand rubles. up to 308 thousand rubles. per ha, depending on the intensity of planting.
Crimean enterprises continue harvesting fruit and berry products: open and closed ground strawberries, blackberries, peaches, cherry plums, apricots and cherries. The largest areas of such crops are located in the Bakhchisarai, Krasnogvardeisky and Nizhnegorsk regions.
