In Komi, by 2025, the volume of potatoes and vegetables of open ground will increase to 10 thousand tons

By 2025, Komi plans to increase the volume of potatoes and open-ground vegetables to 10 thousand tons. Details were reported in the Ministry of Agriculture of the region.

The Minister of Agriculture and Consumer Market of Komi, Alexey Butkin, said that the planting area has already increased by 1.7 times, and yields have increased by 2.3 times.

In order to further develop potato farms, the republic needs financial support.

“The three–year need for additional funds is 330 million rubles annually,” the minister said.
