In the gardens of the Sevastopol enterprise “Kachinsky +” harvesting of early varieties of peach is underway

Since 2016, the organization has been receiving state support – during this time, more than 270 million rubles have been allocated to the economy. Yulia Kurbatova, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market, visited the agricultural company today.
“We provide all measures of state support to our enterprises, compensating up to 80% of the costs incurred, as well as care for three years. This year, the Government of Sevastopol plans to provide serious support for the establishment and care of perennial fruit plantations in the amount of 3.7 million rubles, they have already provided support in the amount of 12.6 million rubles,” Yulia Kurbatova said.
According to her, the strategy for the development of agriculture in Sevastopol provides for an increase in the area under perennial plantings. So, if last year 169.8 tons of peaches were harvested in Sevastopol from an area of about 130 hectares, this year the planned figures are higher.
“By the end of the season, we plan to collect at least 223 tons of peaches from all Sevastopol enterprises from an area of about 151 hectares. As for the harvest in general, we are increasing, but these indicators directly depend on weather conditions,” said the deputy director of the relevant department.
The farms of Sevastopol have already harvested more than 39 tons of peaches, 37 of them at the Kachinsky + enterprise. These are early varieties – Fluffy early, Cardinal, Redhaven, Madeleine Pouier, Veteran, Kremlin, Redhaven juicy.
For the entire season, the agricultural company plans to harvest at least 70 tons of peaches. The ripest fruits are sold in the markets of Sevastopol, the more transportable ones are sent to the Crimea and other regions of Russia.
