Potato harvesting has been completely completed in the fields of agricultural enterprises of the Irkutsk region. 29,284 tons were collected, which is almost 10 thousand tons more than in 2021.
On October 13, the Mayor of the Irkutsk district Leonid Frolov visited the vegetable storages of the Irkutsk Seeds CJSC enterprise. The joint-stock company is a leader in the potato harvesting area. The executive director of the enterprise Leonid Shiryaev said that this year about 7,400 tons were collected from an area of 415 hectares.
As of October 17, 2022, in 2022, sowing works were carried out in optimal agrotechnical terms. The entire sown area was 21,578.7 hectares. Grain crops were sown on an area of 7485 hectares; potatoes were planted on 1381.2 hectares, vegetables on 310 hectares, fodder crops were sown on an area of 10660.5 hectares, industrial crops on an area of 1445 hectares.
According to the Department of Agriculture of the Irkutsk district administration, agricultural producers on October 17, 2022 harvested 71.5% of the grain area, harvested 11,241 tons of grain. The yield is 21.3 quintals per hectare.
We started harvesting rapeseed. The harvested area is 450 hectares, which is 31.1% of the sown area of industrial crops.
Vegetables were harvested on an area of 293 hectares, which is 94.5% of the area of vegetable sowing. 4269 tons of hay were harvested, which is 88.94% of the plan, 25,600 tons of haylage, which is 128% of the plan, 18,154 tons of silage — the plan was fulfilled by 106.79%.
