The new investment project to expand the complex for growing greenhouse crops at Rodina Crop Farm will become a pilot site for the development of domestic seed production and can be replicated for the production of vegetables in the northern regions of Russia.
On Wednesday, March 16, the new project, as well as the implementation of other projects in the region, were discussed at a meeting of the commission on investment projects implemented in the Ivanovo region, which was chaired by Governor Stanislav Voskresensky.
“Despite the work under sanctions pressure on Russia, we have investment projects, primarily in the field of agriculture. Today we are considering one of these projects, and good luck, to create new jobs in agriculture,” said Stanislav Voskresensky.
The head of the agricultural enterprise Vladimir Vlasov spoke about the main parameters of the new project. He noted that the company intends to expand the capacity of the already operating greenhouse complex in Ivanovo on the street. The Paris Commune, which has been producing demanded products for more than eight years – cucumbers, tomatoes, green crops. In a new greenhouse with an area of 1.5 thousand square meters. meters, using LED lighting, they organize year-round cultivation of vegetables with a yield that is not inferior to foreign counterparts. In addition, according to Vladimir Vlasov, Rodina Crop Farm is working with domestic seed producers, who will organize a special research site on the basis of this agricultural enterprise to obtain seeds for new types of greenhouses. Vladimir Vlasov also drew attention to the fact that the new project is designed for implementation in the northern regions of Russia, and this experience can be replicated.
The investment will amount to 65 million rubles, 6 jobs will be created in the agro-industrial complex. The company intends to complete the work in 2022.
Stanislav Voskresensky asked about the equipment needed for the project. Vladimir Vlasov said that the necessary imported fixtures have been purchased, and the company will replace part of the imported equipment, which was originally going to be used, with Russian counterparts.
The project received a positive assessment from the committee. Also, the members of the commission made adjustments to the register of investment projects in the Ivanovo region. Thus, the implementation of the project for the development of beef cattle and high-quality beef at Ilyinskoye-Agro LLC has been completed, and all targets in terms of investment and job creation have been achieved.
