Fresh vegetables, as if only from the field, even in December. For several years, agricultural producers with the support of the region have built more than 30 modern vegetable storages.
It is a matter of seconds to determine the quality of potatoes for Lilia Alexandrovna. After all, thousands of tubers pass before her eyes every day.
Lilia Polyakova, a vegetable storehouse worker: “We are removing bad potatoes so that they are clean, beautiful, and of high quality. We see where the bad is, where the good is, we try to see. A good potato is a clean potato. Not a scratch, not broken, not rotten.”
The company closely monitors the quality of all products, because it goes, including on the table of the employees themselves. The agro-combine generously provides each employee with half a ton of vegetables annually.
Alexey Suslov, a vegetable storehouse worker: “Onions, beets, carrots, well, I’m standing on a carrot myself.”
Production volumes more than cover the needs of not only all employees, but also the entire region. Agricultural indicators are growing year after year, and new premises are constantly required to store almost 50 thousand tons of vegetables.
Vitaly Dunin, General Director of the agro-industrial complex: “We plan to increase the production of vegetables and also increase the production of potatoes, this requires storage capacity, so every year we plan to build 2 to 3 thousand tons of storage capacity, so that we can supply products all year round.”
In the region, they help with the implementation of their plans. For example, more than 15 million rubles were allocated for the agricultural complex in the village of Kochnevskoye this year, which allowed the company to compensate for the costs of vegetable storage and refrigeration equipment.
Sergey Sharapov, First Deputy Minister of the Agro-industrial complex and Consumer Market of the Sverdlovsk region: “This was done in order to ensure the storage of potatoes and vegetables from the moment of harvesting until the new harvest, thereby preserving the seed material that is needed for the next year, and to provide a retail network, catering.”
Support of such a level will allow producers to focus on increasing the volume of agricultural products and on regular deliveries of fresh vegetables to large retail chains throughout the region, which means that every Ural resident can eat.
