Last year, the canning factories of Kabardino-Balkaria produced a record number of canned fruits and vegetables for the region – 353.9 million conventional cans, exceeding the figure for 2021 by more than 10%.
Most of all, the enterprises of the industry produced tomato paste, which accounts for 41% of the total volume of canned food produced, canned green peas account for 17.6%, the share of canned cucumbers is 17%, canned sugar corn – 12.8%.
It was possible to increase production volumes for the main types of canned food.
Kabardino-Balkaria continues to hold a leading position in the production of canned fruits and vegetables among the subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District.
