On December 22, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Novosibirsk Region and the National Association of Manufacturers of Equipment and Solutions for Land Reclamation “NAPOR” held a conference “Integrated solutions for the implementation of land reclamation projects taking into account the specifics of the Siberian region” on the basis of the Novosibirsk State Agrarian University. .
The conference participants were heads of municipalities and districts of the Novosibirsk region, leading industry experts, manufacturers of materials and equipment for irrigation systems, representatives of agricultural complexes, greenhouse complexes, peasant farms, agricultural producers of the region.
The conference was opened by Andrey Shindelov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture – Head of the Rural Development and Investment Department. He outlined the urgent tasks for the region to increase the share of land involved in agricultural turnover, recalled the measures of state support in the Novosibirsk Region for land reclamation activities and called for more active use of them.
Gennady Olgarenko, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, confirmed the fact that the land fund available in the region is far from being fully used. The reason, according to the expert, is the high, about 65-75%, wear of irrigation and drainage networks, and as a result: flooding, waterlogging, salinization, land erosion. He emphasized that the expected economic effect from land reclamation measures will ensure an increase in indicators by at least one and a half times, and to ensure the food security of Siberia, it is necessary to purchase about 9,000 irrigation machines by 2030.
The participants of the conference were provided with information about modern sprinkling machines – wide-sprinkling machines manufactured by BSG LLC and drum sprinklers from Granit Agro LLC, as well as about the drip irrigation technologies of Element.
Polyplastic Group, a member of the board of the NAPOR association, acted as a co-organizer of the event. The company’s experts spoke about polymer pipe products and technical solutions for land reclamation and the agricultural sector as a whole. Particular attention was paid to the novelty of 2022 – a polyethylene pipe with co-extrusion layers for outdoor irrigation systems, which allows you to keep the purity and composition of the water unchanged, has increased UV resistance. The company also proposes to carry out the reconstruction of worn-out reclamation canals, closing them with pipes up to 3.5 meters in diameter. The company’s product range also includes products for draining land, dewatering groundwater – polymeric corrugated pipes for arranging drainage, as well as all kinds of drip tapes, foggers and other equipment for greenhouses. Experts noted the import-substituting and innovative nature of the products, the predominant (more than 86%) use of Russian raw materials in production.
Summing up the results of the conference, its participants noted that the priorities set, the tasks set and the formed support measures give positive results in the agricultural sector of the region, and the agro-industrial complex itself is one of the drivers for the development of technologies, related economies and industries.
