More than 60 thousand hectares of land will be allocated for agricultural products in the Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan

More than 60 thousand hectares of land will be developed and put into circulation in the Jizzakh region in 2022-2026. They will grow vegetables, melons, oilseeds, legumes, fodder and medicinal crops. It is also planned to lay down new orchards and vineyards.
The presidential decree provides for an increase in agricultural production in the Jizzakh region.
On the developed land plots, products are going to be grown using the cooperative method. At the same time, producers will be supplied with seeds and seedlings, they will help with the purchase, storage and export of finished products.
In accordance with the Tax Code, newly developed lands for agricultural purposes are not subject to land tax for the period of development and for another five years. After the expiration of the grace period, the tax rates established 10 years prior to putting the given land plot into circulation are applied.
The unemployed population of the region will be attracted to the creation of intensive orchards (they are grown using new technologies, they bear fruit faster – ed.) and vineyards on large land areas (plantations) located in the reserve of the khokimiyat of the Jizzakh region. These territories will be provided on the basis of leasing for a period of seven years.
