Two projects to create new greenhouse complexes are going to be implemented in the suburbs of Khabarovsk. So, next year, at the Rakitnoye site of the priority development area, LLC TK Khabarovsky will create greenhouses for growing tomatoes with a total area of 11 hectares, and LLC TK Priamurye will build the same complex for growing both tomatoes and cucumbers on an area of 7.4 hectares, according to the portal “Gubernia” with reference to the press service of the regional government.
The total investment in both projects amounted to approximately 35 million rubles. The initiatives are supported by the Agency for Attracting Investments and Development of Innovations (ANO APIRI). Now, design estimates are being developed for two new greenhouse complexes. Land plots suitable for the construction of greenhouses have been selected for companies. In addition, under an agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, both projects should receive the status of a resident of the Khabarovsk ASEZ.
“Today, the demand of the regional market for fresh vegetables is covered by local producers only by 20%. The construction of greenhouse complexes is one of the profitable areas of agriculture. The payback period for such a project is about five years. Now only four companies are engaged in this in the region: JCG Evergreen LLC, Agrarian Technologies of the Future LLC, Agrocomplex Vostok LLC and the peasant farm Butkov Viktor Borisovich. Their total area is about 8 hectares,” said Andrei Dymchenko, director of ANO APIRI.
KFH “Butkov Viktor Borisovich” has plans for development. The farm is going to increase the market for products and expand the range.
“Now we grow only greens, but work is currently underway to prepare for the construction of a greenhouse complex for growing tomatoes and cucumbers. We have already acquired a land plot and a greenhouse with an area of 3,000 square meters for the second investment project. They also installed power lines and purchased equipment. We have already allocated 110 million rubles to the project,” said Viktor Butkov, head of the KFH.
For investors who want to start creating new greenhouse complexes, there is a package of benefits. Thus, a large project can receive the status of a “Large-scale investment project”, which makes it possible to rent land without bidding.
