Trade fair’s online program home in on international topics – From irrigation and tillage strategies to autonomous farming – Exhibitors, experts and DLG share experience (DLG). Until the end of March 2022, www.DLG-Connect.com, DLG’s free knowledge-sharing platform, will continue to host sessions organized by exhibitors and partners that put the spotlight on selected arable topics. The aim is to support farmers in extending their knowledge of technical solutions available now and in the future, from insights into irrigation best practices in regions like Kazakhstan, Australia and Canada to practical discussions on tillage strategies alongside events on autonomous farming and events on field robots from startups. DLG-Wintertagung: ‘DLG-Winter Conference’ Also held on www.DLG-Connect.com as a hybrid event is the DLG-Wintertagung (English ‘DLG-Winter Conference’) 22-23 February, an important annual knowledge-gathering and networking event for German farmers last year hosting over 2,500 German farmers and experts online. In-depth sessions in German will be held focusing on the transformation in the agricultural sector as a result of the factors that put pressure on farmers like climate change, biodiversity and a new definition of ‘man-animal’ relations. |
Agritechnica digital, the Agritechnica trade fair’s digital program, is located on www.DLG-Connect.com, a platform designed by the DLG (German Agricultural Society) as part of its non-profit aim to further knowledge in agriculture across borders. Already over 500 individual virtual events have been held on this platform, including DLG’s in-depth spotlights on emission control in livestock farming and focusing on green efficiency in the UK as well as challenges and threats in the perspective of the next 5 years for Polish agriculture (in Polish). DLG-Connect is hosting Agritechnica’s online program “Agritechnica digital” which is open for events and networking until March 2022.
