The harvesting campaign of soybeans is continued by Primorsky agricultural producers, IA reports DEITA.RU .
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Primorye, to date, farmers have collected almost 20 thousand tons of soybeans. Thanks to the good weather, farmers harvested 11.2 thousand hectares of soybeans. This is almost 40% more than last year’s level.
“19.2 thousand tons of legumes have been harvested from the fields,” the relevant ministry said.
On average, the soybean yield per hectare is 17 quintals, which is one hundredweight higher than last year. According to the Minister of Agriculture Andrey Bronts, according to the plans, this year the Primorsky agrarians want to harvest about 500 thousand tons of soybeans. It is this culture that remains the main export crop to the Asia-Pacific countries today.
To achieve these goals, the regional government provides support to farmers within the framework of the state program “Development of agriculture and regulation of agricultural products, raw materials and food markets”.
Also earlier, the idea of the Governor of Primorye to reduce the duty on soybeans and cancel the export quota for corn for enterprises of the Far East was supported at the highest level. The head of the region is confident that this will help support the villages.
“We must give the villagers the opportunity to sell profitably, so that there are funds for the sowing campaign, the purchase of equipment,” Oleg Kozhemyako stressed.
