The spring campaign of 2022 was marked for the agricultural company by a significant increase in the size of arable land. A wedge of cereals has grown up to 500 ha, which previously was a little over 300 ha. Potato plantations have increased by almost 150%, amounting to approximately 310 hectares. There is an increase in the area occupied by cabbage, carrots and fodder crops.

Prirechnoye, according to Akim Semey, has been operating on the market for many years, still promptly responding to the situation of the day. The growth of production volumes determines the demand of the population of the city and the region. Now in the region, for example, they themselves close the issue of grain and flour.
“We have the potential not to import potatoes,” the mayor believes.
He is sure that it is necessary to increase the vegetable plots – this is important for ensuring the food safety of Semey. Currently, the city covers the internal demand for vegetable products by 50-70%. In this regard, the mayor stressed that support for agricultural producers should be carried out systematically.
Decisions on infrastructure, attraction of potential investors, assistance to rural production cooperatives through the implementation of special state programs were named as priority measures.
Semey intends to feed the population with its vegetables
State assistance still plays a significant role. In 2021, Semey agricultural producers received subsidies in the amount of more than two billion tenge. Prirechnoye regularly delivers a variety of agricultural products, including for technical departments and pavilions, where they are sold at so-called social prices, that is, much cheaper compared to market prices. In 2021, the volume of such deliveries amounted to more than three thousand tons of vegetables. This year, the manufacturer plans to bring it up to 3.5 thousand tons.
