Supermarkets in Spain, such as Masymas, are now selling their first batches of avocados carrying the “Aguacates CV” label, marking a significant step forward for local avocado production. As the season progresses into March, consumers will also find the Lamb Hass variety, which makes up over 60% of the Valencian production. According to ASOPROA, this year’s avocado harvest is expected to surpass last year’s record of 21,000 tons, driven by the addition of new avocado plantations in the region.
