According to the Department of Agriculture of the Tambov region, the farmers of the region began to sow carrots, red beets and onions. The sown area of vegetables this year will be 400 hectares.
Vegetables are grown in Kirsanovsky, Michurinsky, Pichaevsky and Staroyurevsky districts. Michurinsky district is the leader in the number of vegetable farms.
In total, farmers plan to harvest about 20,000 tons of vegetables this year.
It is important to note that Tambov farmers use modern technologies to grow vegetables in open ground. Farms are also equipped with their own storage systems.
