The increase in soybean yield from the use of drip irrigation is 2.6-2.9 t / ha or 90-106%. Thus, the yield of soybeans on drip irrigation is 5.27-5.64 t / ha, and without irrigation – 2.6-2.95 t / ha.
This is evidenced by the results of field research on the lands of the Kamensk-Dneprovsky experimental station of the IPII NAS in the Zaporozhye region, writes The Ukrainian Farmer magazine.
Optimal in the technology of drip irrigation of soybeans is the use of a belt method of sowing, involving local soil moistening and the formation of a density of 417 thousand plants / ha.
“Considering that soybeans are a valuable agro–reclamation precursor, as well as high economic indicators of its cultivation, we recommend that this crop be included in the intensive vegetable crop rotation on drip irrigation in the Steppe zone of Ukraine,” the article “Soybeans in crop rotation” says.
