The Ministry of Agriculture plans to develop a federal project to develop the production of potatoes and vegetables.
Now half of the vegetables and 65% of the potatoes are grown in private subsidiary plots, but this figure is declining.
According to the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, the project will provide for the main measures of state support, for example, measures for land reclamation and the construction of vegetable stores. In 2022, it is planned to allocate an additional 5 billion rubles to support vegetable growing, including in personal subsidiary plots. In the short term, these measures will increase the production of potatoes and vegetables in the organized sector by 15%.
