Farmer Mintalip Minnikhanov from the Tukayevsky district grows the entire crop of potatoes and vegetables on irrigation. He founded his own farm in 2000. In recent years, he has been a participant in the state program for the effective involvement of agricultural land in the turnover, under which agricultural producers receive compensation for part of the costs associated with the purchase of reclamation equipment. Last season, Mintalip Minnikhanov watered the potato field fifteen times a season, spending 10 thousand rubles on irrigation of each hectare.
The total cost of irrigation (fuel, spare parts, generator, salary of the operator of the pumping unit) amounted to 68 thousand rubles. But these expenses paid off with a vengeance: the farmer received 350-380 quintals of potatoes per hectare, while in non-irrigated areas this figure did not exceed 90 quintals. The farmer sold the received products at fairs.
The introduction of biological plant protection products has increased grain yields and reduced the pesticide load. These are the results of the Innagro test program, in which Tatarstan agricultural firms “Chistopolskaya”, “August-Kamskoye Ustye”, “Volga Select”, “Nurkeevo”, “Avangard”, farm “Akhmetov I.M.”, “Kozin N.M.”, “Saetov I.R.” and others participated. The program was initiated by Innopraktika in 2020 with the aim of developing the biologization of the Russian agro-industrial complex.
Tatarstan enterprises joined the project in 2021 and in two years have conducted more than twenty tests on wheat, barley, sunflower, corn, beets, potatoes, rapeseed. Almost 300 hectares of land were treated with biological plant protection products and growth stimulants. The results of the tests are as follows: in the climatic conditions of this year, the use of innovative drugs provided an increase in grain by 9-10 percent while reducing the pesticide load by 30 percent. The additional economic efficiency of grain exceeded one thousand rubles per hectare.
