This year, on behalf of Governor Alexei Russkikh, the area under crops has been increased in the region, about a third of the land put into circulation has been given for planting basic crops.
According to the results of the sowing campaign, the regional Ministry of Agriculture said that vegetables were planted more by 21%, potatoes – by 15%. This allows us to expect that the harvest will fully cover the needs of the population of the Ulyanovsk region.
Also, Aleksey Russkikh set the task for the relevant department to arrange supplies of local products to retail chains, for our agricultural producers this is a guarantee of the sale of the crop, for residents of cities – the opportunity to purchase products from Ulyanovsk farmers and large farms in stores.
