The authorities plan to provide all residents of the region with local vegetables

In the city of Topki, a new greenhouse complex may soon be built, thanks to which the share of local vegetables in the Kuzbass market will exceed 54 percent.

More than 6.9 billion rubles will be invested in the new complex, and there will also be jobs for 556 people. Tomatoes and cucumbers will be grown here – about 20 thousand tons annually. It should be noted that Sergei Tsivilev signed an agreement on the construction of the complex with Oleg Vetrov, general director of the Kuban greenhouses management company, during the St. Petersburg International Forum.

To date, the inhabitants of Kuzbass are fully provided with grain, potatoes and eggs. Self-sufficiency of the region in vegetables is 45.5%. After the construction of greenhouses, this figure will increase to 54.1%. In addition, more than 500 new jobs will be created, which is a huge plus for our region,

the governor stressed.

By the way, today there are five greenhouse farms in Kuzbass – in the Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Belovsky and Yashkinsky districts. This year they have already produced 2695 tons of vegetables – 37% more than a year earlier. And earlier, Tsargrad reported that Kuzbass residents were outraged by the sharp rise in sugar prices. The authorities assure: the price of a sweet product, on the contrary, has decreased.
