A barge with fruits and vegetables from China arrived at the Blagoveshchensk-Heihe checkpoint. This is the first delivery of fruits and vegetables after a long break, the Rosselkhoznadzor department for the Amur region said on Wednesday.
“The international communication Blagoveshchensk – Heihe was absent for more than seven months. First of all, this was due to the completion of summer navigation, and then the sanitary and epidemiological situation served as the reason. Currently, direct import deliveries of this category of cargo of plant origin to the Amur Region are carried out by water transport, in containers,” the statement said.
In total, Blagoveshchensk received about 800 tons of vegetables from China. Among them are onions, cabbage, tomatoes, carrots, garlic, zucchini, etc. Also, more than 100 tons of fruits (pineapples, mangoes, grapes, etc.) were delivered from China. In total, 65 containers entered the checkpoint, all products in them passed phytosanitary control.
