Krasnodar Krai is one of the three leading regions in the production of vegetables in protected soil.
– The favorable climate and the development of high-tech complexes allows growing more than 40 types of vegetable crops in the region. Thanks to this, Krasnodar Krai is one of the largest production centers in Russia. Since the beginning of 2022, our farmers have already collected more than 104 thousand tons of products, including 54.3 thousand tons of cucumbers, 48 thousand tons of tomatoes,

Kondratiev also noted that today the region fully meets its needs, taking into account millions of vacationers and supplies fresh vegetables to other regions of the country. This year, local farmers plan to harvest 112 thousand tons of vegetables. Industry experts predict an increase in volume to 130-140 thousand tons in the following years.
According to the press service of the administration of the Krasnodar Territory, today 10 industrial high-tech complexes with a total area of more than 256 thousand hectares are operating in the Kuban. The largest volumes of vegetables are produced in the Dinsky, Belorechensky, Timashevsky, Krasnoarmeysky, Seversky districts and Krasnodar.
