Volgograd farmers will start implementing 150 projects in 2023

To increase irrigated areas; to carry out the construction of new production sites; to build livestock facilities and increase the number of livestock; individual entrepreneurs, heads of farms, cooperatives and agricultural enterprises plan to erect vegetable and grain storage facilities in 2023. About 150 new investment projects were considered by the expert commission of the regional Committee of agriculture under the chairmanship of the Deputy Governor of the Volgograd region Vasily Ivanov.

The implementation of these plans will contribute to the growth of agricultural production and the creation of new jobs for residents of remote territories of the Volgograd region. Agrarians intend to implement their plans with the help of state support.

So, a big step forward next year is predicted in the processing industry – one of the leading bakery enterprises in the region, JSC “Bakery No. 5”, intends to put into operation new production lines. This will allow adding new types of rye bread to the assortment, increasing output from 70 to 100 tons per day.

The new project is planned to be implemented by LLC “Khlebnash”. In the outgoing year, the company has already launched a new line for baking toaster bread and intends to put into operation a logistics complex with an area of 1000 sq. m. meters. Its construction is already being completed. The new platform with high-tech automated lines will increase the production of bakery products from 40 to 90 tons per day, expand the product range, and get a more marginal and cost-effective product.

With the implementation of the investment project for the construction of drip irrigation plots for growing onions and carrots, agriculture in the Oktyabrsky district will acquire new directions. In the Uryupinsky district, a mother plot for the cultivation of strawberry varieties will be created and a cherry orchard will be laid. An apple orchard of intensive fruiting will appear in the Kotelnikovsky district.

Sredneakhtubinsky district submitted five new projects related to the construction of reclamation systems for consideration by the commission, Dubovsky district — a program for organizing the production of safflower. To do this, they will prepare a production base with sowing and processing equipment. Agrarians of the Alekseevsky district intend to build a granary with a capacity of 10 thousand tons, a grain drying complex, and also plan to reconstruct the mekhtok.

From Novonikolaevsky district, 10 projects were submitted for consideration: the development of a meat farm; the construction of warehouses; the organization of processing sunflower husks into mineral fertilizers and material for pallets; the construction of a mekhtok and a grain dryer; the opening of the production of meat delicacies; the development of vegetable storages and vegetable processing lines; the opening of a repair shop and other initiatives.

When considering investment projects, the expert commission took into account the degree of readiness of the business plan, the volume of its own investments, as well as state support measures for which the applicant claims. It should be noted that in 2022, 136 investment projects in the agro-industrial complex worth 6.5 billion rubles were implemented with state support in the Volgograd Region, and 145 more worth 39.2 billion rubles are being implemented. Attracting investments in the agro-industrial complex is one of the main priorities in the development of rural areas of the Volgograd region. Summing up the results of the agricultural year, the Governor of the Volgograd Region, Andrey Bocharov, noted the importance of expanding the investment dialogue with investors at all levels and activating state support measures, using, among other things, concessional lending instruments, leasing mechanisms, and the regional Fund for Agricultural Support.
