More than 1,000 bumblebees came to work in the Podmoskovye greenhouse complex near the village of Ratmirovo. They settled in the second block of greenhouses and began their duties. The ovary that began to form in the flowers is their proboscis business. Specialists release bumblebees from hives daily from 8 to 11 am. In such hot weather, their performance does not exceed 6 weeks.
“The quality of the fruit depends on the process of pollination. It is most important. Previously, when we did not do this kind of pollination, we got a small harvest. We did not understand that it was possible to help plants in this way. Now, of course, there will be more harvest, and the products themselves are tastier!” – said Svetlana Shishkina, chief agronomist of the Podmoskovye shopping mall.
An interesting fact is that bumblebees pollinate the culture with their buzzing (the so-called vibrational pollination). Previously, this was done mechanically. The presence of bumblebees on the plantation is a guarantee of a high yield and a guarantee of environmental friendliness of products.
