Now the season for processing tomatoes into tomato paste is in full swing. Tomato paste is produced in Kabardino-Balkaria by two canning factories – “Vegetables of the South” and “Agro-Invest”.
As of today, according to operational data, enterprises have processed 22.3 thousand tons of raw materials, from which 16.8 million conditional cans of tomato paste have been obtained.
Factories produce tomato paste both in glass containers of various sizes for retail sale, and in large barrels for the subsequent production of various sauces and ketchups from it.
For the production of pasta, canners of the republic use tomatoes grown on their own, which guarantees the high quality of the final product.
In the structure of canned fruits and vegetables produced throughout the country, tomato paste accounts for an average of over 40% annually.
