In a move to foster trust and transparency within the agricultural sector, Med Green Import has unveiled a new platform aimed at providing comprehensive information to its suppliers. Starting June 3rd, the importer based in Bleiswijk is pioneering a system to keep suppliers fully informed about market dynamics and product specifics.
Iliass el Mrini, spokesperson for Med Green Import, emphasized the need for greater transparency in the industry, citing instances where suppliers have felt disconnected from market realities. “We wanted to create full transparency by involving our suppliers in everything,” Mrini explained. The platform will deliver detailed updates three times a week, covering essential aspects such as pricing, volumes, and product quality.
Specializing in citrus and Moroccan vegetables, Med Green Import is rolling out this initiative amidst the transition to the Moroccan citrus season. Reflecting on past challenges faced by growers, Mrini highlighted the importance of empowering suppliers with timely and accurate information. “Our goal is to establish sustainable relationships based on mutual understanding and transparency,” he added.
The platform’s launch underscores Med Green Import’s commitment to bridging communication gaps and ensuring that suppliers are well-informed at every stage of the supply chain. By offering insights into pricing strategies and market trends, the importer aims to strengthen existing partnerships while fostering new, sustainable collaborations.
